Aftercare essentials.
Follow the personalized instructions provided at your appointment. These are general guidelines and don't replace your artist's specific directions.
Wash your hands first. Gently clean the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water when instructed.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Use a thin layer of the recommended fragrance-free moisturizer after cleaning.
Avoid picking or scratching, swimming, soaking, and direct sun exposure while healing. Wear loose, clean clothing.
Increasing redness, warmth, swelling, pus, fever, or worsening pain may signal infection. Seek medical care promptly if these occur.
If you received a second-skin bandage, follow the specific wear-time and removal instructions given to you.
